Анотація
У статті розглянуто значення прямих іноземних інвестицій (ПІІ) як одного з ключових чинниківекономічного розвитку прикордонних регіонів України. Проаналізовано вплив ПІІ на підвищен-ня конкурентоспроможності регіональної економіки, розвиток виробничої та транспортноїінфраструктури, створення нових робочих місць та зростання рівня доходів населення. Особ-ливу увагу приділено специфіці прикордонних регіонів, які мають унікальні можливості для за-лучення іноземного капіталу завдяки вигідному географічному розташуванню, близькості доринків ЄС та участі у транскордонних проєктах. Визначено основні переваги ПІІ, серед яких —доступ до сучасних технологій, інноваційного менеджменту та міжнародних стандартів вироб-ництва. Окремо проаналізовано бар'єри для залучення інвестицій, зокрема недосконалість інве-стиційного законодавства, ризики, пов'язані з економічною та політичною нестабільністю, не-достатній розвиток інфраструктури. Визначено роль прямих іноземних інвестицій у розвиткуприкордонних регіонів України. Доведено, що іноземні інвестиції є важливим джерелом фінан-сування, яке сприяє розширенню виробничих потужностей, створенню нових робочих місць,модернізації інфраструктури, а також упровадженню передових технологій та інноваційнихрішень. Залучення прямих іноземних інвестицій активізує інвестиційну діяльність у державі,підсилює її конкурентні позиції на світовому ринку та відіграє визначальну роль у відновленніта подальшому розвитку економіки України.

The article examines the importance of foreign direct investment (FDI) as one of the key factors inthe economic development of the border regions of Ukraine. The impact of FDI on increasing thecompetitiveness of the regional economy, the development of production and transportinfrastructure, the creation of new jobs and the growth of the population's income level is analyzed.The dynamics of foreign direct investment in the regions of Ukraine during the period of full-scale invasion turned out to be uneven: only some regions recorded growth, mainly due to thedevelopment of agriculture and support from strategic investors from developed countries. Atthe same time, most regions saw a decrease in FDI, which, however, does not always indicate ageneral decline in investment activity, since within some regions there was a parallel increasein investments in promising industries. This situation emphasizes the importance of diversifyingthe economy and developing competitive sectors that are able to attract capital even inconditions of military risks. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of border regions, whichhave unique opportunities for attracting foreign capital due to their advantageous geographicalloc ation, proxi mity to EU markets and parti cipati on in cross-border pro jects. Barriers to attracting investment areseparately analyzed, in particular, the imperfection of investment legislation, risks associatedwith economic and political instability, and insufficient infrastructure development. The roleof foreign direct investment in the development of border regions of Ukraine is determined. Itis proven that foreign investment is an important source of financing that contributes to theex p a n si o n o f p r o d u c t i o n c a p a c i ti es, t h e c r ea t i o n o f n e w j o b s, th e m o d er n i z a ti o n o finfrastructure, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies and innovative solutions.Attracting foreign direct investment activates investment activity in the state, strengthens itscompetitive position in the world market and plays a decisive role in the restoration and furtherdevelopment of the Ukrainian economy.
