The purpose of the research is to identify the mechanisms of semantic derivation and the pragmatic parameters of these units’ functioning, and to determine optimal ways of rendering them in German. The empirical base is a corpus of 79 lexical items. It is established that neosemantisation is one of the leading channels of renewal in the military sociolect: formally stable forms acquire new meanings via metaphor (by external resemblance, by function, by manner of action), abbreviation-based derivation, and numerical coding. Thematically, the inventory is dominated by names of weapons, munitions, and equipment (23 items; 29.1%), designations of persons (18 items; 22.8%), and names of military vehicles and transport (14 items; 17.7%); smaller clusters include clothing (5 items; 6.3%) and everyday life (3 items; 3.8%). The study shows that imagery (figurative meaning) is a key pragmatic characteristic performing a functional role. Metaphorical transfers provide cognitive transparency while simultaneously imparting expressive–evaluative marking, thereby strengthening the in-group code. In translation, the most frequent solutions are neutral dictionary equivalents, approximate and descriptive renderings; transcription/transliteration and calquing preserve cultural markers but narrow the circle of addressees
dc.description.abstractСтаттю присвячено комплексному аналізу українських військових неосемантизмів у складі професійного жаргону військовослужбовців та опису стратегій їхнього перекладу у парі українська – німецька мови. Мета статті – виявити механізми семантичної деривації й прагматичні параметри функціонування цих одиниць та визначити оптимальні способи їхнього відтворення німецькою мовою. Джерельна база становить корпус із 79 лексичних одиниць. Визначено, що неосемантизація є одним з провідних способів оновлення військового соціолекту: формально сталі одиниці набувають нових значень через метафору (за зовнішньою подібністю, за функцією, за способом дії), абревіатурну деривацію та кодування числами. За тематичними групами домінують назви зброї, снарядів та амуніції (23 одиниці, 29,1%), назви осіб (18 одиниць, 22,8%), назви військової техніки та транспортних засобів (14 одиниць, 17,7%); менші кластери становлять одяг (5 одиниць, 6,3%) та побут (3 одиниці, 3,8%). З’ясовано, що образність (фігуральність) є ключовою прагматичною характеристикою досліджуваних одиниць і виконує функційну роль. Метафоричні перенесення забезпечують когнітивну прозорість і, водночас, експресивно-оцінну маркованість, підсилюючи внутрішньогруповий код. У перекладі найчастотнішими виявилися використання нейтрального словникового відповідника, наближений і описовий переклад; транскрипція / транслітерація і калькування зберігають культурний маркер, але звужують коло реципієнтів.
