- ДокументCondition of first-year students’ didactic adaptation within educational environment enriched with information and communication technologies(Poland: The Central and Eastern European Online Library, 2014) Nataliia ISHCHUK; Volodymyr LiesovyiThere being a contradiction between the didactic systems of comprehensive school and university, university teachers have to find solution to the problem of first-year students’ didactic adaptation. The wide use of ICT in doing every university course calls for adequate teaching methods and didactic conditions for students’ efficient progress in their first year of study at university. The article provides the condition of first-year students’ didactic adaptation within the educational environment enriched with ICT on the basis of the pilot research carried out at Vinnytsia Educational and Scientific Institute of Economics of Ternopil National Economic University. Although the results of the pilot research show students’ weaknesses of use of ICT, they prove the positive impact of the educational environment enriched with ICT on first-year students’ didactic adaptation, since it increases their didactic motivation and in many ways facilitates educational activities.

- ДокументMethodological support for multimedia-assisted teaching foreign languages at higher educational institutions(The Central and Eastern European Online Library, 2012) Nataliia ISHCHUKThe article provides theoretical substantiation for multimedia-assisted teaching foreign languages on the basis of the developed methodological recommendations, which appeared to be a solid background for successful mastering a foreign language. Since in today’s labour market is a need in specialists having a sufficient level of communicative skills, university teachers are expected to rely on effective methods for enhancing students’ cognitive abilities, which in turn will develop student’s independency and flexibility in lifelong self-learning. Provided are some results of the experiment, which prove the positive impact of the suggested methodological support on successful learning foreign languages.
- ДокументPrinciples of Teaching Foreign Language Vocabulary to University Students(Poland: The Central and Eastern European Online Library, 2015) Nataliia ISHCHUK; Nataliia HAVRYLIUKOne of the most challenging problems university students encounter when learning foreign languages is acquiring lexical units and enhancing vocabulary skills. The article provides the study of the methods and principles of teaching foreign language vocabulary to university students as well as their advantages and drawbacks. The general levels of educational students’ achievement in learning English are determined on the basis of the pilot research carried out at Donetsk National University in Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia National Agrarian University. Although the results of the pilot research show students’ weaknesses in the process of learning lexical units, they prove the positive impact of the presented methods and principles of teaching English at university.

The article provides the study of the educational value of Web Quests in teaching foreign languages at universities, their role in fostering students’ basic competencies and enhancing their critical thinking. Presented is a Web Quest created by first-year students of Vinnytsia Institute of Economics of Ternopil National Economic University with its further detailed description. Provided are some results of the experiment, which prove the didactic efficiency of Web Quests, integrated with other teaching methods, for improving students’ autonomous learning skills.
