- ДокументFEATURES OF REALIZATION OF INTERNAL OPPORTUNITIES AND PERSONAL POTENTIAL OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN SOCIALLY SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITY(ДонНУ імені Василя Стуса, 2020) Overchuk, V.A.; Kushnir, Yu.VThe article is devoted to the study of psychological support and socio-psychological adaptation of persons with disabilities, which reflect the level of their interaction and integration with the community and self-determination, the level of realization of internal capabilities of a person with disabilities and his personal potential in socially significant activities, personality, interact with the surrounding society under specific conditions of existence. For Ukraine, the issue of social protection and psychological support of persons with disabilities does not lose its relevance. This is due to a number of reasons, the main of which are psychological, demographic, socio-economic and political. People with disabilities often face specific problems in various spheres of life, which significantly affect their psychological and economic condition. The main groups of barriers that prevent people with disabilities from having a full social life are physical and psychological barriers. The main psychological barriers of people with disabilities are analyzed: communication barrier, business communication barrier, emotional barrier. It was emphasized that the problem of discrimination and stigmatization of persons with disabilities remains acute both in Ukraine and in other countries. The author notes that a formal prohibition of discrimination at the state level does not completely eliminate this problem. This issue is especially painful for those people with disabilities who seek a full working life and professional realization. It is noted that Ukraine is still at the initial stage of its development in the issues of social and psychological support and life support of people with special needs and is taking the first steps towards approaching international standards. At the same time, modern European integration processes are forcing Ukraine to reconsider existing approaches and existing opportunities to improve the situation of integration/reintegration and the implementation of effective measures aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities.
- ДокументFORMATION OF RESILIENCE IN THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN GOT TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE AS A RESULT OF THE ARMED CONFRONTATION IN UKRAINE(2018) Overchuk, V.A.The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the children’s experience of different ages the consequences of armed conflict in the east Ukraine. It was identified the psychological qualities that help the child to grow and maintain the psychical health in an active military conflict situation. From the point of view of the children, these qualities include: the ability to communicate; a sense of happiness; to help others; a family support. Vitality or resilience is a modern concept in foreign schools of psychology and sociology and it means the broadest understanding the ability of an individual to resist the influence of the unfavorable external factors. Increasing the resilience of the child (stress resistance) can be considered as increasing its individual resource potential, and as well as the ability of the nearest environment to protect the child from the influence of the unfavorable factors.

ВЕРНАДСЬКОГО, 2020) Overchuk, V.A.The article focuses on the socio-psychological integration of people with disabilities, which remains an important issue for most countries. The author refers to a number of studies conducted in Ukraine and abroad, which show that, despite the efforts of states, there are still problems with the acceptance of persons with disabilities by society, and this primarily concerns the right to work. Discrimination and prejudice against people with disabilities by employers is based on the belief that typical abilities are higher. At its heart, ableism is rooted in the assumption that disabled people require ‘fixing’ and defines people by their disability. It is a system that values people based on their bodies and minds and what society deems to be ‘normal’, and devalues and limits the potential of disabled people. In such conditions, one of the areas of work in the field of social and psychological rehabilitation of people with disabilities and their employment is to encourage them to start their own business. At the same time, according to the author, the problem of self-employment of people with disabilities needs in-depth analysis not only in terms of the number of people who received help in starting their own business, but also in a number of other indicators used in research by foreign scientists. The article reveals the reasons why people with disabilities do not dare to start their own business. First, it concerns the stereotypes that exist in society. Second, people with disabilities often have problems with work motivation. Third, these are the fears that people with disabilities face in society. Fourth, it is discrimination in society. Fifth, the lack of social communication. The problem of psychological readiness of a person with disabilities to start their own business remains very relevant today. Among the main reasons for psychological readiness for self-employment, the author identifies: lack of previous experience, insecurity, lack of motivation for self-employment among people with disabilities. employment and economic growth. A number of socio-psychological causes cause social tension, poverty, insecurity, material and moral degradation of people with disabilities and their families.
- ДокументSOCIO-PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY AS A CONDITION OF THEIR SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL INTEGRATION(2019) Overchuk, V.A.The article deals with the problem of integral conception of the essence of social and psychological support for people with disability in the process of social integration. The purpose of this research is to study the problems of people with disability, the factors that prevent their successful social integration and to determine the effective actions to improve the life of these people. For this purpose, the socio-psychological support for people with disability is considered as a condition of their successful social integration and the modern paradigm of social integration of people with disability is constructed. The main groups of barriers that prevent people with disability from having a valuable social life are identified and the methods of their overcoming are proposed.
