    The article is devoted to the study of synaesthetic metaphor gender peculiarities within the conversational English-speaking YouTube discourse. The analysis conducted within 47 samples (99 uses in speech) of the synaesthenic metaphor implies the absence of typically masculine or feminine features in the framework of metaphorical perceptual information transmission.

    The article is dedicated to the study of lexico-semantic features of gustatory adjectives (GA) with the «transparent» prototype in English. The types of wordformation and structure of GA are also investigated. In addition, GA are discussed in terms of the thematic groups they constitute.
