    The purpose of the article is to clarify the specific features of documentary information resources determine the theoretical foundations of the process of their classification, development of classification models based on documentary and source methodology. Research methodology. Methods of historical document science, source studies, archival science were applied, which allowed establishing the attribute of the documentary information resource and its classification within the limits of document science theory. The scientific novelty of the work is to establish the specific features of documentary information resources, identify information characteristics, disclose internal and external features of documents, their further classification as a documentary source of information stored in archives, museums, and libraries. Conclusions. The study made it possible to generalize the theoretical knowledge of historical records management and source study about the specific features of the documentary-information resource and the process of their subsequent classification. Systematization and classification of documentary and information resources expand the possibilities of studying the theoretical foundations of a document, allows you to create a holistic comprehensive vision of the external and internal features of a document as an information resource and a means of communication from the point of view of theoretical and thematic-applied problems. Historical records management, archival studies, and source studies provide for the use of interdisciplinary methodological foundations of scientific research of documentary and information resources. The process of classifying documentary and informational resources of a specific problem-historical study includes the fact that they are an organic component of the informational past of Ukraine.

Видання розраховане на джерелознавців та істориків радянського партизанського і підпільного руху 1941–1945 років Другої світової війни, викладачів, аспірантів, студентів та широке коло зацікавлених.

    Guided by the new methodology, to find out the communicative features of the functioning of documentary and information resources, to investigate the theoretical aspects of establishing communication links, to establish their role in the formation of social and communication relations of society. Methodology. The study used the methods of the theory of social communication and records management, such as methods of scientific analysis and synthesis, survey-analytical, historical, classification, and terminological methods. The above methods made it possible to reveal the essence of social relations established with the help of documentary and informational resources. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the establishment of the communicative features of documentary and information resources, scientific and theoretical reflection on their existence, a retrospective reflection of time and reality using the latest scientific and methodological tools for studying the social and communication ties of society. Conclusions. In the study of documentary and information resources, as a reflection of time and space, revealed their communication links, the scheme of the act of social communication, which is determined by the presence of communicator, recipient, message, channel, feedback, a documentary form of communication act provoked by purpose, motives, and means.

    This article discusses the concept of a document in historical document science. It is established that the development of society and the differentiation of social processes led to an increase in the array of documents, made adjustments to its standard and specific features and types of material carriers, etc. There was a need to organize the storage and organization of existing document files and develop effective mechanisms for processing and using documents. All these factors have led to scientific reflection and the emergence of new areas of document science and historical document science. It is confirmed that in different branches of the science of the document-information cycle, different definitions of the concept of a document are used today. The presence of its terminology, i.e., words or phrases that express characteristic concepts from a particular field of science, determines the specifics of a particular science. In almost every field of knowledge, there are one or more understanding versions according to the specifics of those objects to which the document's status is given. It is understood differently in computer science, library, bibliography, archives, museum studies. The concept of a document in particular fields of activity (library, museum, archival affairs, and bibliography) is interpreted separately. Hence its ambiguity complicates scientific communication and mutual understanding between specialists in the field of document and communication, but at the same time generates discussion and development of a new vision of the object-subject component. Considering the transition of information from document to source, it is necessary to use the concept of documentary sources of information as a set of documents of scientific, industrial, educational, reference and popular science, intended for general reading and subject-matter analysis to find the necessary data. The concept of "document" reflects the characteristics of real objects, serving as an object of practical activities for the creation, collection, analytical and synthetic processing, storage, retrieval, dissemination, and use of documentary information in society. Defining the concept of "document" is the main task of theoretical and historical document science. In the process of developing the meaning and content of the concept, the document has changed. The result is the presence of various definitions that expand the content of the term or focus on a particular type.

    The purpose of the article is based on the study of documents, problem-thematic historiography, guided by the latest methodology. It is to explore the theoretical aspects of establishing the content potential of documentary and information resources, to make a general picture of their external, internal elements and characteristics, identify features, find out efficiency methods of scientific criticism. Methodology. The research methods of Record Studies, Archival Science, Information Studies and Social Communication were used. They allowed to reveal the content of documentary and information resources, to analyze their external and internal characteristics, to identify interdisciplinary connections in the study of documentary sources. The scientific novelty of the work is to establish the features and content of documents, to analyze the phenomenon of documentary information resources as a source of information, the specifics of reflecting time and reality in them, to process the documents of archive, museum, and library repositories and to establish their informational value and significance. Conclusions. The study of documentary and information resources as a reflection of time and space communication relationships were revealed, the needs of society in information documentation, and the creation of specific document forms and organization of their storage, which arose to meet these needs, were identified. The research allowed us to study the theoretical foundations of documentary information resources, to see their capabilities, to create a holistic comprehensive vision of external and internal features of the document as a source of information and means of communication of a particular period in terms of theoretical and thematic issues.
